“I’m going to die!” – My family’s thoughts on a life without cancer

A family from California is on the brink of losing one of its oldest members.

In a letter to their son, Michael, they share a poignant tale of hope and strength.

They say they’ve known for years that he would have a rare type of cancer.

He died this week, but his death will never go away, the letter says.

The family is a couple of years into a life-threatening treatment.

My family and I have been through many of these tough times together, and we know we will always be stronger than we were.

We have no regrets and are blessed to have our son as a part of our family.

A funeral is planned for Saturday.
